Care Center Vets

As we continue this journey into #PetPoisonPreventionMonth, we want to introduce you to one more patient! Meet Angus. This adorable, sweet boy found his grand-humans’ heart medication and ingested them. He was brought into Care Center Dayton for immediate treatment, as this medication is severely toxic to dogs. If left untreated, medication ingestion can lead to low blood pressure, increased or decreased heartrate, fluid in the lungs, kidney failure, and even death. After 36 hours of continuous monitoring, Angus is now back home with his family – enjoying his comfy couch again.Accidents happen more than you think, which is why our team of care givers are here for you and your pet 24 hours a day! If your pet ever ingests something they shouldn’t, please know our team is here to help.

A young woman with long hair and blue glasses is smiling as she lovingly cradles a large, happy German Shepherd mix dog on the floor of a clinical setting, likely a veterinary or care facility. The dog looks joyful and relaxed, lying on its back with its mouth open in a playful expression. Overlay text reads 'Care Center Newsletter MARCH 2025' in large white font, with the Care Center logo featuring a medical cross and paw print in the top right corner. The image has a soft blue overlay, giving it a calm and professional tone.
