Dr. Jessica Franz graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2023. Dr. Franz – like many veterinarians – always had a love for animals, but it was her experience working at an animal shelter and wildlife rehabber that inspired her to become a veterinarian. Dr. Franz finds the transformation of bringing pets back to health, with the aid of medical care and a stable environment, extremely rewarding. Within her field of emergency medicine, Dr. Franz has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, as well as treating toxicity cases. When she isn’t in the emergency department at Care Center, Dr. Franz likes to stay active outdoors – running and hiking with her dog, Bailey – as well as watching soccer and football, crafting, and reading.
