Dr. Heather Biggs began her career at Care Center as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2010. Dr. Biggs now returns to Care Center after obtaining her DVM in 2021 from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Growing up, Dr. Biggs’ family had many animals and often took in strays. Building this relationship with so many animals at a young age helped Dr. Biggs understand each animals’ differences and needs. Emergency medicine, much like every other speciality, comes with its own challenges. Along with this challenge of emergency medicine, Dr. Biggs especially enjoys treating those ophthalmic and cardiac emergencies. Dr. Biggs understands the emotional component associated with these cases and strives to remember that compassion and empathy are important in these delicate situations. When not saving lives in our ER, Dr. Biggs enjoys hot yoga, traveling, and spending time with her daughter and two dogs – Cali and Julio.
