Dr. Mears has been treating hyperthyroid cats since 1993 and is one of just two doctors who travel the country to provide this specialty. He has amassed great experience, having treated more than 2,000 patients with Radioiodine I-131. He received his veterinary degree from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine and completed his post-DVM education at the University of Tennessee with a small animal internship, internal medicine residency and time as an Associate Professor.
