Dr. Dustin Banooni received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin in 2024. He joined Care Center’s emergency department by means of the ER Immerse program in the summer of 2024. This program is intended to offer support and extended training to those veterinarians who are new to emergency medicine. Dr. Banooni has always been considered an “animal person,” but his time as the Programs Coordinator at Detroit Dog Rescue is what inspired him to become a veterinarian. Dr. Banooni enjoys all facets of emergency medicine, but particularly enjoys treating difficult cases that require communication and collaboration across various specialties to be successful. When he isn’t treating patients in our emergency department, Dr. Banooni can be found spending time with his cat, Boss, playing video games, board games, and card games of all kinds, enjoying team sports, and anime. He also has a fondness for cats, music, and anything that bridges the two together.
