During Dr. Camero’s early college years studying as an undecided major, her childhood cat and best friend was diagnosed with kidney disease. Inspired by the compassion and caliber of medicine her cat received, she realized her love for animals, science and helping others could be combined into one career. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Wayne State University, she went on to attend The Ohio State University and obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Following her studies at OSU, she completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at BluePearl Michigan, where she remained for three years as a Senior Emergency Clinician. Dr. Camero completed her Residency in Medical Oncology at the University of Illinois. She now practices medical oncology with a focus on client communication and patient quality of life, and loves working closely with the Care Center team. Dr. Camero shares her home with her husband, their two children, and their two four-legged children.
