Dr. Chris Bloom’s love for animals was fostered from a young age after growing up on a farm in Indiana and being exposed to wildlife rehabilitation. Dr. Bloom was drawn to Radiation Oncology in particular after his experience with a cancer diagnosis in his own pet as he wants to help other pet parents going through a similar experience. The most common types of cancer Dr. Bloom treats are brain tumors and nasal tumors, with a special interest in nasal lymphoma in cats. Dr. Bloom enjoys developing a collaborative relationship between all pet caregivers – including the primary care veterinarian and pet parents. When Dr. Bloom isn’t saving pets’ lives, he can be found enjoying the outdoors by hiking, mountain climbing, and biking, listening to classical music, or trying out new eateries and wineries in the area.
