Taylor Bergquist
DVM

Location: Cincinnati
Emergency

Dr. Taylor Bergquist received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University. Dr. Bergquist knew that she wanted to become a veterinarian before she even knew the word for the career. From a young age, she valued the joy that animals can bring into people’s lives, and she wanted to grow up doing work that honored the human-animal bond. Dr. Bergquist chose emergency medicine because she felt it was where she could make the biggest impact and grow the most as a veterinarian. The unexpected and ever-changing pace of emergency medicine requires continuous growth and improvement. Along with her desire for emergency medicine, Dr. Bergquist is also extremely passionate about shelter medicine. Growing up in a lower income community, she saw how the lack of available veterinary care affected those around her. Serving in her local shelters when she isn’t in the emergency room is how she honors those who helped her get where she is today. Dr. Bergquist has many pets, including dogs, Sammy and Gimli, cats, Dumpling, Ravioli, and Gnocchi, snakes, Charlie and Pretzel, as well as bearded dragon, Poe. When she isn’t saving lives in our emergency department, giving back to local shelters, or caring for her pets, Dr. Bergquist can be found reading, kayaking, baking, and gardening.
