Integrative Medicine

Overview

Millions of people have learned firsthand how much physical therapy can improve mobility and overall quality of life. The same is true for pets.

Integrative Medicine Services

Care Center is proud to offer this progressive service. Our veterinarians often prescribe physical rehabilitation for animals recovering from surgery, suffering from injury, experiencing chronic pain, as well as those diagnosed with neurological conditions and even obesity.

Your family veterinarian can provide you with an animal rehabilitation services referral to Care Center. Our staff will then request pertinent medical records to prepare for your first visit. Your initial consultation includes an exam, review of medical history and current medications plus assessment of current issues and nutrition. Our certified canine rehabilitation therapists will create a treatment plan customized for your pet’s needs.

Rehabilitation may help if your pet experiences any of the following:

  • Arthritis or joint stiffness
  • Recent surgery or injury
  • Decreased strength, muscle tone and endurance
  • Weight management/obesity
  • Having difficulty with mobility
  • Limping or favoring a limb

  • Soreness after exercise
