Welcome to the Dayton CARE Center, Dayton's first 24 hour veterinary emergency and critical care facility. The Dayton CARE Center is a fully equipped emergency and critical care facility that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You care for your pet 24 hours a day and so do we.How does the Dayton CARE Center work? The Dayton CARE Center works closely with your family veterinarian to provide emergency and critical care services when your veterinarian is not available or your pet needs a higher level of monitoring than your family vet may be comfortable providing. During your family veterinarian's normal business hours, we require a referral from your family vet. After hours, if you have any emergency, you can come in anytime. We do not work by appointment, but rather as an extension of your family veterinarian. Why has my veterinarian referred me to Dayton CARE center?Your family veterinarian has identified a situation that calls for special care - constant, intensive care and monitoring, the kind that only a 24 hour facility can provide. Your vet knows you want the best possible care for your pet. In most circumstances, that means diagnosis and treatment with your trusted family veterinarian. Sometimes your vet's exam will indicate a need for an advanced care facility like the Dayton CARE Center. It's another indication that your vet wants what's best for your best friend. We take the trust your veterinarian has placed in us very seriously, and make it a priority to keep your vet fully informed of all care provided at CARE Center. We think you'll find your vet's trust well-placed. Can my pet return to my family vet if he needs further care after an emergency? We work very closely with your family vet to make sure they are up to date on your pet's medical condition. If your pet is hospitalized at the Dayton CARE Center overnight, you are free to transport them back to your family vet the next morning if that is what you and your family vet have decided. We will make sure your pet is set to transfer safely and provide all medical records to your family vet so continued care is seamless. Again, we are here to be an extension of your family vet. In addition, we are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week as an emergency and critical care facility. If you feel your pet has an emergency, and your family veterinarian is not available, there is an experienced emergency clinician on duty at all times at CARE Center.
