Dr. Ryan Butler is from rural Mississippi and received his DVM from Mississippi State University in 2007. He completed a rotating internship at Texas A&M University in 2008, before completing his Small Animal Surgical Residency and Master of Science at Mississippi State University in 2011. Dr. Butler became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2012. Dr. Butler is experienced in variety of orthopedic procedures, arthroscopy, minimally invasive fracture repair, as well as a wide range of soft tissue and neurosurgery procedures. He has authored or co-authored over 40 journal articles and book chapters on various topics including cranial cruciate surgery, fracture repair, regenerative medicine, and canine hip dysplasia. Prior to joining Care Center, Dr. Butler was on faculty at Mississippi State University as Associate Professor and Chief of Small Animal Surgery. In his spare time, Dr. Butler enjoys traveling, exercising, outdoor activities, and attending sporting events.
