Dr. Pamela Kloepfer knew she wanted to be a veterinarian ever since junior high school; she had aspirations of moving to Australia to work with Steve Irwin, who was a very large influence on her life growing up. Dr. Kloepfer attended The Ohio State University where she graduated with her DVM in 2010. She then went on to complete her rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine from 2010 to 2011. Dr. Kloepfer loves the excitement and unique challenges that emergency medicine presents, especially cases surrounding wound care, management of metabolic diseases, and toxicity management. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Kloepfer enjoys fitness classes, art and painting, and spending time with her eight cats, Cleveland, Scooter, Gizmo, Wilbur, Anakin, Vader, and litter mates Willow and Ernie. With over ten years of emergency medicine experience, Care Center is excited to make Dr. Kloepfer a part of our team!
