Dr. Brandon Wahler attended The Ohio State University where he obtained his DVM in 2016 and his Masters in Comparative Veterinary Biosciences in 2020. He then went on to complete his Rotating Internship in Louisiana in 2017, before returning to OSU for his Residency in Anesthesia where he finished in 2020. Dr. Wahler did not always know he wanted to work in veterinary medicine; instead, he originally pursued human medicine as a career. After volunteering and then working as a veterinary assistant at a local animal hospital, Dr. Wahler found his true calling. It wasn’t until late in his schooling that he found his interest lied heavily in anesthesiology as the specialty combined the things he loved about critical care with the ability to also focus on acute and chronic pain states, which can be challenging and rewarding to treat. When Dr. Wahler is not at the hospital, he can be found reading, hiking, exploring new places to eat, visiting craft breweries, and indulging in crafts including mosaic and pottery.
