DepartmentsCT ScanCT (computerized tomography) scan, is an advanced imaging technique that helps veterinarians visualize anatomical details that x-rays don’t show. For example, an x-ray of your pet’s head will show the skull in good detail, but will show nothing of her brain. CT scan, on the other hand, gives remarkable detail on structures like the brain and spinal cord. Although common for decades in human medicine, CT scanning in veterinary medicine has not been widely available until recently. CARE Center has a CT unit that is available for both our in-house patients, and for referrals.
